Here at The Footy Gang, we love nothing more than a good football podcast. We have reviewed a number of football podcasts on our website, such as the Honest Football Podcast, Bench'd, Across The Pitch podcast and the excellent Football Fanalytics Podcast. All of the football podcasts that we have written about are available to listen on YouTube and Spotify, check them out here: Top Football Podcasts.
Today we will be discussing the PCP - Pitch Side Podcast, another great football podcast to add to the collection. This article has been written by Oussema Gouesmi, the creator of the Pitch Side Podcast.
The Pitch Side Podcast is as basic and pure of a football podcast as you can get. In fact, 99% of the content is in audio form, which is not exactly high production value when it comes to the football podcasting market.
However, it is driven by the team at the Pitch Side Podcasts ambition, passion, and unlimited love for the beautiful game. Also, I am basically the host, editor, producer, and manager for myself all-in-one. That might sound like a lot of work... WELL, because it is. I started as a sporadic content producer, then I turned into daily podcasting in the hope of upping my game and get more exposure.
Let's get to the heart of things though, that is the content. I do previews and reviews for the top European competitions, Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Laliga. Also, UEFA Champions League when there is mid-week action. As I am Tunisian and African, of course, I care about my mother continent so I also do previews and reviews for CAF Champions League the biggest continental competition.
Occasionally, I do some top 5 lists and feature some fellow YouTubers to discuss specific topics related to the sport. Also, I intend to cover the biggest international competitions in the future, World Cups, AFCON, Euros, Asian Cup, etc. However, I'm off during the international breaks for qualifiers and all because they can be really boring and inconsequential particularly with the current world situation.
Well, If you are not into low-budget and low production value podcasts, I respect that opinion by the way, preferably don't tune in. However, if you like abstract football opinions that come from the heart and MOSTLY unbiased, I strongly advise you to give us a listen and I can bet you won't regret it.
I am a really devoted football fan and gambling on such a project is not exactly easy to follow on, but I am really hopeful that anyone who reads these words can hop on and join this thrilling ride with me.
ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP, because I am devoted, ambitious, and patient. It doesn't matter to me if it takes a year or two as long as I will get to where I want.
With YOUR support and following, I can reach the next level and start Improving everything. It depends on YOUR interests, but I really hope you find my podcast enjoyable enough to give it a go as I surely intend to upgrade my content both aesthetically and the actual types of the content itself.
I don't lack innovation and creativity, all I lack is YOUR support.
You can expect pure, unadulterated opinions around football. I might not be the biggest tactician to break down game plans and team shapes, or the most intellectual insider to tell you about the intricacies of financial and executive work in clubs, but I always like to have my own independent opinion and my own school of thoughts.
Certainly, I try to be as unbiased as possible in my analysis and that's why I try to cover as much football as I can in order to have different ideas and perspectives.
It is simple, I am on Youtube at PSP - PITCH SIDE PODCAST, where I hopefully can get to my first 1k subscribers pretty soon (Hope you help me with that). As it is a podcast can also find it on Spotify, Google Podcasts, Breaker, Pocket Casts, and RadioPublic.
If you want to reach me out for whatever reason, I'm on Twitter @SidePsp and Instagram @Pitchsidepod. I'm usually online to gather information and content for my podcast, so I'll be more than willing to have a full-on football geeky discussion.
First, because I'm a young upstart and I'm sure a lot of you are in the same shoes at the moment, so we are in a kind of UNION. Second, we all are football fans who just clamour for different opinions and to find platforms that we relate to where we can geek over our favourite sports and share our simple opinions, as stupid, eccentric, and unorthodox as they can be.
